A self-driven centrifuge (20) for separating particulate matter out of a circulating liquid includes a stand pipe (207) that is constructed and arranged to deliver fluid. A vane assembly (227) is adapted to receive fluid from the stand pipe (207). The vane assembly (227) includes a liner (228) and a plurality of vanes (230). The liner (228) defines an inner cavity and the vanes (230) extends within this inner cavity. Each of the vanes (230) has a radially outer edge portion (232) and integrally formed with the liner (228) and an opposite free edge (231). The vanes (230) are oriented in a parallel relationship with the stand pipe (207), and the free edges (231) of the vanes (230) define a stand pipe passage in which the stand pipe (207) is received.
