PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator for surely separating the object to be treated such as sludge into a solid and liquid. SOLUTION: This centrifugal separator is provided with a ring-shaped cylinder 44 where the object to be treated such as sludge is supplied, a centrifugally separating means for separating the object to be treated and a separated solid 13 discharging means and a separated liquid 12 discharging means. The cylinder 44 is rotated by the separated solid 13 discharging means. The solid 13 is peeled and discharged by using an air nozzle 52 by making good use of air pressure while the solid 13 is prevented from slipping by a projection 47 or a nonskid plate 46 fit to the inner wall 45 of the cylinder 44. The liquid 12 is discharged while being prevented from scattering by a separated liquid discharging guide 59 and a separated liquid discharging chute 54.
