摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive purifying method by which arsenic in the water to be treated can rapidly and efficiently be removed, and maintenance and control are facilitated. SOLUTION: Adsorption treatment where an arsenic adsorbent which is an aqueous solution of an inorganic flocculant, and in which pH lies within the range of 5.8 to 8.6, and the concentration of the inorganic flocculant is controlled to the range of 0.00001 to 50 wt.% is added to the water to be treated containing arsenic, and they are brought into contact is performed so that treated water efficiently freed from arsenic can be obtained. At this time, when its pH is controlled to 5.8 to 8.6 on the adsorption treatment, flocculated flocks become more stable. Further, when the turbidity of the water to be treated containing arsenic is previously removed, and then, the adsorption treatment is performed, the required amount of the adsorbent can be reduced.
