PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush which hardly gives rise to the interference of tips of tufts adjacent to each other in brushing and is capable of sufficiently exhibiting an effect of increasing the contact stress of bristles with interdental areas and tooth flanks and an effect of improving the accessibility to the interdental areas. SOLUTION: The toothbrush 10 formed by flocking a plurality of the tufts 12 consisting of a plurality of the bristles 11 to a bristle block 14 is adjacently provided with at least two tuft rows 13 and 13' composed of a plurality of the tufts 12 inclined in the same direction, in which the central lines Y and Y' of the respective adjacent tuft rows 13 and 13' are parallel to each other and intersect at intersection anglesθ,θ' of 30 deg. and -30 deg. with respect to the central line C of the longitudinal direction X of the toothbrush and the tufts 12 constituting the one tuft rows 13 and 13' in two rows of the respective adjacent tuft rows 13 and 13' and the tufts 12 constituting the other tuft rows 13 and 13' are flocked to incline to opposite sides along the direction intersecting with the central line C in the longitudinal direction.
