PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonhuman animal useful for the elucidation of the role of retinoic acid in a developmental process or a living body, capable of being a model for elucidating the condition and the mechanism of a disease considered to be associated with the CYP26 such as vitamin A excess, and a model for examining a therapeutic method of the disease, and capable of being used for the screening of the prophylactic and therapeutic agent of the disease. SOLUTION: This nonhuman animal or the descendant thereof has a CYP26 gene-deficient function. |
