PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end of an endoscope for enhancing electric safety by further securing insulating performance to a high frequency current between a distal end body and a bending section. SOLUTION: In this distal end of the endoscope, a rear end near part 2a connected to the bending section 1 among the distal end body 2 is formed of an electric insulating material, and a metallic base 15 is fitted to a light guide fiber bundle 14 passing through the part 2a. In a part positioned in an electric insulating material 2a part near the rear end of at least the distal end body 2, electric insulating processing 16 is applied to an outer peripheral surface of the base 15 of the light guide fiber bundle 14.
