PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the pressure in a die during the injection molding of a metal by which generation of pressure higher than required in a die cavity is prevented. SOLUTION: In the method for controlling the pressure in the die during the injection molding of the metal in order to control the pressure in the die of a molten metal filled in a die 5 from an injection molding machine, a sliding member is pressed from a rear part thereof with a hydraulic cylinder 4 so that the sliding member is retracted when the pressure of not less than the predetermined value is applied to the sliding member 9 disposed in part of a flow passage of the molten metal in the die.
