The plastic rectangular cable boxes (10, 20) have conventional break-out panels, collars for fixing screws and means for attaching covers. The boxes are placed alongside each other and the slotted U-shaped coupling piece is slid into place over the edges of the gaps left by breakout panels (12, 22). The cables are then laid in place and the closure (31) is hinged over to lock the coupling.
