LASING PROCESS IN GAS LASER

摘要

FIELD: laser engineering. SUBSTANCE: lasing process concerns ion-ion recombination for populating laser upper levels. Active medium of laser is composed of at least easily ionized component, component characterized by large section of electron adhesion, and buffer gas. Active medium is excited by periodically repeated pulses whose parameters are chosen so as to ensure ionization of easily ionized component within active period of pulse, whereupon excitation is ceased. Excitation pulses are repeated upon recovery of active medium components. EFFECT: provision for lasing in new spectrum lines; enhanced lasing efficiency. 3 cl
