ELECTRON GUN, CATHODE-RAY TUBE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun that can restrain the inner surface of a glass bulb from being flawed by a getter support and a getter container when inserted in the glass bulb, and to provide a cathode-ray tube and a method for manufacturing the cathode-ray tube attaining the improvement of high voltage quality and screen face quality by using the electron gun. SOLUTION: A tip part 6 of the electron gun 5 inserted in the glass bulb to constitute the cathode-ray tube is provided with the getter support 7 and an elastic member 8 projected in an inserting direction. The tip of the getter support 7 is provided with the getter container 10. The getter support 7 and the elastic member 8 are provide with a contact holding mechanism for holding them so that the getter support 7, getter container 10 and elastic member 8 may not contact the inside of a neck part of the glass bulb. The contact holding mechanism is constituted to release contact holding of the getter support 7 and elastic member 8 after inserting the electron gun 5 in the glass bulb.
