PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damage on an optic element even if some pulse signals for Q switch operation are missing. SOLUTION: A solid laser apparatus 10 having an AO-Q switch crystal 18 provided in a laser resonator, and an AO-Q switch driver 24 for applying voltage to the AO-Q switch crystal 18 is equipped with a first trigger signal generation circuit 20 that outputs a trigger signal for operating the AO-Q switch driver 24 at a specific cycle, and a second trigger signal generation circuit 22 that generates the trigger signal separately when failure occurs in the trigger signal outputted from the first trigger signal generation circuit 20.
