PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing real-time and useful local area information and its system by collecting information closely related to a local area. SOLUTION: An information user 4 request desired local information to an information providing client 3. This request is distributed to an area information database 1 through a network 2 and required local area information is provided to the user 4 through the network 2. The database 1 has the local area information recorded therein by layer structure by each class. The local area information is collected at the place by an information collector 6 and transmitted through a mobile terminal 7 and information waves 29. The local area information is also added with GIS and GPS information to improve precision and reliability.
