SOLUTION: This negative electrode active material is composed of the composite particles containing a carbonaceous phase 6 containing a metal phase 5 containing at least one kind selected from a group formed of metal element for storing and emitting lithium such as silica (Si), tin (Sn), indium (In), titanium (Ti), antimony (Sb), aluminum (Al) and lead (Pb) and having a mean size at 0.2-50 nm and a graphite phase 7 having a mean size at 0.05-10μm.
