PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube of high reliability using a press mask, avoiding rupture or the like in a press working embodiment, resistant to external impact and reduced in thermal deformation. SOLUTION: A shadow mask with a skirt part 61 bent, in the tube axis direction while circulating the outer periphery of a perforated region with a large number of color selection apertures in a main face, has a connection part comprising at least two inclined faces, at a boundary part between the perforated region 62 and the skirt part 61 excluding the outer peripheral corner parts of the perforated region 62.
