<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform remote maintenance such as BIOS rewriting even when an external power source being a main power supply source is turned off, that is, power failure is generated, or even when a small capacity of incorporated battery whose maintenance is not necessary is installed. SOLUTION: The client computer for remotely performing maintenance processing such as the update of function through a network is provided with a means for allowing a CPU 1 to perform maintenance processing based on a remote control signal received from the network, a main power source 5 for supplying an operation power source necessary for performance of the maintenance processing by using an external power source, an auxiliary power source system for backing up the operation power source by an incorporated batter 6 at the time of performing the maintenance processing, and a means for operating the CPU 1 at the time of performing the maintenance reprocessing at an extremely lower speed clock than a normal operation.</p> |
