PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detecting device that can be easily installed without needing special engineering works and is also provided with a smoke sensor whose installation position can be easily changed. SOLUTION: A sensor 10-1 is provided with a smoke sensing unit 1 having a smoke flowing-in part 1b and for sensing smoke of fixed density and an annunciator for emitting alarm by a smoke detection signal from the smoke sensing unit. The smoke sensing unit 1 is supported by a supporting stand 3 via a pole-shaped supporting member 2 so as to make the smoke flowing-in part 1b of the smoke sensing unit face downward. A space D where air is caused to freely flow is provided under the smoke flowing-in part 1b.
