PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system constituted so that functions of a language monitor to be provided as a part of a mechanism of an OS(operation system) are expanded, a command for cancellation is transmitted to a printer and cancellation of the printing processing is enabled even for printing data after transmitted to the printer regarding the printing system to use a Centronics interface. SOLUTION: The printing data to be supplied from an application 4 are converted into intermediate codes by a printer driver 6 and the data after conversion are transmitted from a printer port driver 10 to the printer 2 via the language monitor 7. In this case, the printing data are supplied from the Centronics interface 3, the Centronics interface 3 is bi-directional and constituted so as to use a cancellation request command as a command after bi-directional mediation and interrupts the printing processing of the printing data after transmitted to the printer 2. |
