PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a foldable mobile telephone set which can be used either in an opened state or in a closed state. SOLUTION: The mobile telephone set having a lower casing 1 and an upper casing 2 connected rotatably with a hinge part 8 as an axis is provided with two reception parts 4 and 5 to be fitted to the ear of a user during speaking in the state of opening the casing and in the state of folding the casings into two. In addition, when the casings are folded double, one of the reception parts 4 is covered with a sound shielding part provided at the lower casing 1 to suppress echo between a microphone 3 and the reception part 4.
