PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the control system of a digital camera that performs the photographing operation and function control of a digital camera, and at the same time stores the photographed image data at a specified file of the application program of a personal computer automatically so that it can be retrieved. SOLUTION: The control system of a digital camera comprises the digital camera 2; the personal computer 1 having an application program for controlling various functions in the digital camera; and a control apparatus 10 that converts the signals of the application program to signals for controlling the various functions of the digital camera 2 for outputting to the digital camera 2, and at the same time outputs the image data that is photographed by the digital camera 2 to the personal computer 1 so that the image data can be captured.
