PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive controller capable of attaining cost reduction in an inverter device, in individually driving a plurality of multi-phase synchronous motors. SOLUTION: This motor drive controller drives first and second permanent magnet motors 11, 12 with the first and the second inverter devices 21, 22 connected to the motors respectively. The first and the second inverter devices 21, 22 are connected in series on a DC side, connected with a bidirectinal chopper device 3 through switches 41, 42, 43, 44; and cut-off switches 71, 72 are provided between the first and the second inverter devices 21, 22 and the motors 11, 12. Switching is performed between the first and the second inverter devices 21, 22 and the bidirectional chopper device 3 by controlling switching operations of the switches 41, 42, 43, 44. |
