An auto-writing device e.g. mouse includes a movement sensor associated to the microprocessor. Predominant vertical movements of cursor in the monitor according to Y' ordinates allows changing in scrolling way the alphanumeric characters so that when movement stops, the desired character remains on the screen (21). During predominant horizontal movements of cursor in screen based on X' coordinates in sense of advancing writing, addition of alphanumeric character is performed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) Cellular phone; (b) Palmtop computer; (c) Auto-writing hardware; (d) Auto-writer.
