The volume flowmeter has a magnetic coupling for connecting a measuring element to a counter mechanism (4) or similar. A pair (10) of oppositely-magnetized wires (10) made of magnetically medium hard material are arranged parallel to each other on the housing of the measuring device. The wires are preferably made of cobalt-iron-nickel alloy. The coercive field strength of the wires is 15 A/cm to 75 A/cm. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting the action of magnetic fields.
