The invention relates to an optically variable surface model comprising light-diffracting structures and consisting of a background (8) and image information (9) situated on the background (8). The diffraction structures forming the background (8) and the image information (9) are embodied in such a way that, during photocopying using a colour photocopier, they bring the photodiodes of the colour photocopier into saturation, in such a way that a contrastless light surface is created on the photocopy instead of the background (8) with the image information (9).
