The windscreen frame has two A pillar sections (18) flanking each side of a windscreen (20) and connected to a body (12) and to C-pillar sections (24) by sliding guides (26, 32) so that the frame (14) and cabriolet roof (16) can slide between a function position and a forwardly displaced impact position. The windscreen frame and roof can be displaced parallel to each other. The frame can be moved into the impact position by pyrotechnically triggered emergency operating means.
