<p>A method of amplifying a nucleic acid fragment which comprises using a noncyclic single-stranded target nucleic acid fragment as a template and performing a strand displacement primer elongation reaction with the use of a first primer having a sequence complementary to the target nucleic acid fragment to thereby form a nucleic acid fragment complementary to the target nucleic acid fragment, wherein the nucleic acid fragment is amplified by continuously forming, as a repeated sequence, fragments complementary to the nucleic acid sequence containing inconsecutive sequences formed by the target nucleic acid fragment. Thus, a target nucleic acid fragment and a nucleic acid fragment complementary thereto can be efficiently amplified with the use of a noncyclic single-stranded target nucleic acid fragment as a template.</p> |
