PURPOSE: A device and a method for automatically controlling audio output of an optical recorder are provided to automatically control an audio level in regenerating contents having irregular audio level. CONSTITUTION: A device for automatically adjusting audio output of an optical recorder includes an audio regenerating part(200) reading audio data written in the loaded disk for confirming an audio level, a memory(220) receiving the audio data from the audio regenerating part for storing the audio data, a micro processor(230) deciding a control gain to output the stored audio data in equal audio levels, and a gain control part(240) controlling the gain of the audio signal inputted from the audio regenerating part by the decided control gain.
