PURPOSE: A structure for fixing a motor of a drum washing machine is provided to reduce the weight of a motor cover and the manufacturing cost while maintaining the stiffness required for the motor cover by employing a motor cover made of an iron steel and improving the structure of a motor bracket. CONSTITUTION: A structure for fixing a motor is comprised of a motor cover(10) and a motor bracket. A connecting unit is formed on both sides of the motor cover(10). A coupling unit is formed on the motor bracket. The connecting unit of the motor cover(10) is comprised of guide grooves(11a,11b) and connecting holes(12a,12b). The coupling unit of the motor bracket is comprised of guide projections corresponding to the guide grooves(11a,11b) and coupling holes corresponding to the connecting holes(12a,12b). The motor cover(10) is comprised of a front motor cover and a rear motor cover so as to wrap the front and rear portions of a motor, respectively.
