<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric parking brake superior in responsiveness in an initial stage of brake operation and simplifying a clamp mechanism for maintaining parking brake force. SOLUTION: In regard to a dynamo-electric brake device provided with a force transmitting and converting mechanism R receiving driving force of an electric motor and pressing a frictional member P against a member D to be braked, the electric parking brake is characterized by that the force transmitting and converting mechanism R is provided with a ball ramp mechanism, the ball ramp mechanism has a ramp body 8 slidably arranged so as to not rotate on an operation shaft 10 rotated by rotation of the electric motor and abutting and acting on a brake piston, a nut 11 screwed on the operation shaft 10, and a rotor 12 arranged between the ramp body 8 and the nut 11, a slant groove 15 for holding the rotor is provided in at least one opposing face of the ramp body 8 or the nut 11, and the slant groove 15 has a first slant face 18 approaching another member during operating rotation and a second slant face 19 separating away from the other member in a top part side of the first slant face 18.</p> |
