PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental alginate impression material from which the evaporation of water is controlled and whose elasticity deterioration with the passage of time is prevented. SOLUTION: This alginate impression material is characterized by containing fluororesin powder. The fluororesin is especially preferably 0.1 to 40 wt.% of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) or polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) having a molecular weight of 5,000 to 600,000 and a particle diameter of 1 to 50μm.
