PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems with a conventional absorption air conditioner that the worker needs to go to an indoor unit after pulling out a drain plug in an outdoor unit so the work is troublesome and the work time becomes long, though in the conventional way, the worker opens a drain plug on the side of the outdoor unit, and next operates the indoor unit thereby opening a flow regulating valve arranged within the indoor unit, in the case of draining the cold/warm water within a cold/warm water pipe. SOLUTION: The work of draining the cold/warm water pipe 5 of cold/warm water can be done merely on the side of the outdoor unit 1 since this air conditioner can compulsively open the flow regulating valve 6 arranged outdoors by means of the controller 3 of the outdoor unit 3 during OFF of a cold/warm water pump. In short, it gets off without going to the indoor unit 2, and the work of draining the cold/warm water pipe 5 of cold/warm water can be put done easily in a short time. Moreover, since the flow regulating valve 6 is arranged outdoors, even if working sound occurs in the flow regulating valve 6, this working sound does not reach the ears of the user within the room, consequently the indoor sound can be made small.
