<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe coupling capable of facilitating connection work, having high locking strength to a pipe, and pressing pieces uniformly between a locking face in a pipe coupling body and the outer circumferential face of the pipe. SOLUTION: This pipe coupling is provided with a cylindrical pipe coupling body 2 and a sleeve 4 inserted inside an inner circumference of the pipe coupling body 2 for receiving the pipe 3. On the inner circumferential face of the pipe coupling body 2, a taper-shaped lock face 2d gradually increased in diameter toward the depth side is formed, and a plurality of bead-shaped pieces 5 are held in the sleeve 4 at predetermined intervals in the circumference direction by means of a substantially ring-shaped wire 6 passed through these pieces. In one end part of the sleeve 4, a projection part 4e protruding outward axially from the pipe coupling body 2 and having an external thread part 4f on the outer circumferential face is arranged, and a ring-shaped handle 8 capable of touching the end face of the pipe coupling body 2 is screwed to the external thread part 4f. When the handle 8 is turned, the sleeve 4 is energized in the axial outward to the pipe coupling body 2, and the pieces 5 are brought into pressure contact between the lock face 2d and the outer circumferential face of the pipe 3 for preventing the pipe 3 from coming off.</p> |
