PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improving agitator which can prevent corotation thereof even if earth and sand in the ground are clayey or the ground contains therein fibrous peat, and sufficiently agitates the earth and sand in the ground and hardening slurry to mix the same with each other, to thereby construct an improved column body with good quality. SOLUTION: The soil improving agitator 1 is comprised of a hollow rotation shaft 3, a drilling head 4 arranged at a front end of the rotation shaft 3, and agitating blades 5 which each protrude from the rotation shaft 3 and agitate the earth and sand in the ground 2 and the hardening slurry according to rotation of the rotation shaft 3. The agitating blades 5 each have a plurality of projections 5b formed thereon.
