For connecting a branch to a main pipe, a ring-shaped member 6 has a curved saddleshaped profile 10 substantially complementary to the profile of the main pipe and a boss 7 for insertion into a countersunk seating 9 in a tubular member 1 formed with lateral extensions 2, 3 provided with slots 4, 5; the tines of a U-shaped stirrup, encompassing the main pipe, pass through the slots and are secured therein by nuts 14, 15. When the extensions of the member 1 are disposed parallel to the axis of the main pipe, the latter is encompassed by a pair of clamps the radially extending bolts of which are engaged in the slots 4, 5.</p> |
