A method and a device for manufacturing a stator core of a vehicle rotary electric machine are disclosed. According to the inventive method a long and thin magnetic sheet is inserted between a pair of rollers having a punch and a die to stamp out a magnetic strip from said long and thin sheet. The magnetic strip has a plurality of teeth and a core back portion.
