PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING FIBERGLASS REINFORCED POLYURETHANE FOAM CONTAINING CONTINUOUS-TYPE STRAND MAT

PURPOSE: Provided are a process and an apparatus for producing a fiberglass reinforced polyurethane foam containing a continuous-type strand mat, the polyurethane foam dose not generate shrinkage, cracks, and torsion even at an ultralow temperature and has improved impact-resistance. CONSTITUTION: The process contains the steps of: preparing a crude solution, containing a foaming agent, a reacting catalyst, and additives, by reacting a polyol component and an isocyanate component; increasing the volume of the continuous type strand mat by weakening the adhesive force among ciliary fiberglass; producing the polyurethane foam by adding the continuous type strand mat to the crude solution. And the apparatus contains a conveyer for transferring the continuous type strand mat, a sprayer for supplying the crude solution to the continuous type strand mat, and a volume increasing device.
