PURPOSE: A method is provided to form a stepped edge in outer side of an input shaft, thereby guaranteeing a smooth operating property. CONSTITUTION: A method for processing edge of a hydraulic control valve comprises a step of cutting and a step of polishing. An outer groove(31) and an edge(40) are formed in outer surface of an input shaft(30). A processing cutter(60) is used to cut outer surface of the input shaft to form the outer groove and the edge. Then, the edge is polished to form a stepped edge.
