PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knockdown container formed so as to be capable of containing and transporting contents in its assembled state, being easily stored, transported and washed in its developed state, and further being repeatedly utilized. SOLUTION: A container body 11 of the knockdown container comprises a rectangular sheet-like bottom wall, side walls provided upright along the circumference of the bottom wall, and upper walls provided at upper ends of the side walls to close an upper opening of the container body 11 and is formed into a rectangular box shape. The knockdown container is assembled by folding two repeatedly washable synthetic resin sheets 16 at a predetermined position, respectively, and by joining and engaging them with each other with the aid of side joint locking means formed in a repeatedly washable and disengageable manner. The side joint locking means are formed with book-and- loop fasteners 32 and 33 provided at both ends of each sheet 16, which are positioned in the longitudinal direction thereof. The knockdown container is subjected to washing and sterilization treatment under the condition that each sheet 16 is developed in the form o a flat sheet.
