PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material which shows high color development density and superiority in terms of image shelf stability, chemical resistance, suitability for ink jet recording, ink jet sheet resistance and head matching (sticking) properties. SOLUTION: This heat-sensitive recording material has at least a heat- sensitive color developing layer containing an electron-donative colorless dye, an electron-receptive compound and a sensitizer on a support. The heat-sensitive color developing layer contains (1) a 4-hydroxybenzene sulfonanilide as the electron-receptive compound, (2) a 2-benzyloxynaphthalene and an ethylene-bis- stearamide as the sensitizer and (3) shows that the mass ratio (x/g) between the 2-benzyloxynaphthalene (x) and the ethylene-bis-stearamide (y) falls within the range of 95/5 to 40/60. |
