METHOD FOR PRODUCING TERTIARY AMINE N-OXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new efficient method for producing a tertiary amine N-oxide comprising reacting a tertiary amine with hydrogen peroxide by which a catalyst is readily separated. SOLUTION: This method for producing the tertiary amine N-oxide is characterized by reacting the tertiary amine with the hydrogen peroxide by using a high polymer having sulfonic acid groups bound thereto as a catalyst.
