PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chlorine water-resistant resin composition for providing a molded article that has excellent chlorine water resistance, and shows little mechanical strength degradation, little shape change such as thickness reduction, and little discoloration, even when it is used for a long time in a circumstance where chlorine-containing water or chlorine-containing hot water exists. SOLUTION: This chlorine water resistant resin composition comprises a resin and a compound represented by general formula (I) [wherein X is a group represented by general formula (II)]. This composition may further comprise a phosphorus type antioxidant, a phenol type antioxidant, or a heavy metal inactivating agent.
