PURPOSE: A process for preparing a disinfectant containing povidone iodine, isopropyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate, ethyl acetate, glycerin and purified water is provided. Whereby, the disinfectant prevents incidence of secondary infection through fast drying of a sterilized portion during collecting blood or infusion and provides absolute sterilizing power and moisturizing action, a low degree of irritation and a hydrophilic property of the skin. CONSTITUTION: Purified water of an intermediate temperature and a pH of 7 is supplied to a 150 to 200L vessel, based on 1,000L, 8 to 12kg ethyl acetate as a preservative, 8 to 10kg of isopropyl myristate as an absorption aid and 300 to 500g of glycerin as the preservative are successively introduced thereinto, dissolved and then cooled to 15deg.C or less. Thereafter, 80 to 120kg of povidone iodine and 250 to 350L of isopropyl alcohol are introduced thereinto and dissolved and 350 to 450L of isopropyl alcohol is introduced thereinto.
