<p>PURPOSE: In a shot peening process, an air cooling device is provided to cool a surface of a workpiece to prevent reducing of compression stress of the surface, thereby improving quality of the workpiece. CONSTITUTION: In an impeller type shot peening facility, steel balls(S) are injected from an impeller(312) rotating in a high speed to strike a rotating workpiece(20). A cooling device(1200) is installed to cool the surface of the workpiece. The cooling device comprises an air compressor(1210) to form a high pressure air, a pressure adjusting device(1220) to adjust air pressure provided from the air compressor, an air supply control valve(1230) to shut air supply selectively from the pressure adjusting device, air nozzles(N1, N2) to inject air from the air supply control valve to the surface of the workpiece.</p> |
