PURPOSE: A vibration preventing device of an elevator is provided to hold a driving cable, a compensating chain for improving comfort of passengers. CONSTITUTION: A car follower(24) is composed of a plurality of rollers(28), a plurality of pulleys(32) and a support(30) supporting the rollers and pulleys rotatably. A follower rope is attached to an elevator cart fixed to one side of an elevator passage through the pulley of the car follower. A driving cable and a compensating chain are inserted between the car follower and the roller.
