PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid spray apparatus and a silencer therefor, which are used in a site having problems on noise and in a water jet work or the like. SOLUTION: The fluid jetting apparatus has a sound insulation cover continuously covering a jetting port for jet stream and the collision point of jet stream and has a multilayer structure including a space layer. The fluid jetting apparatus has the silencer. For example, the silencer for the fluid jetting apparatus has the 'multilayer-structured sound insulating cover' arranged on a position where the jetting port 6 for the jet stream and the collision point 9 for the jet stream 7 jetted toward the surface of a material 8 to be worked from the jetting port 6 and constituted of a porous material layer 4, a sound insulation layer 3 made of a relatively hard material, the space layer 2 and the sound insulation layer 1 made of the relatively hard material successively from the inside in a concentrically spherical state and the fluid jetting apparatus has the silencer.
