摘要

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to reduce the memory capacity of a frame memory used to delay input data. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device(5) for displaying an image using a liquid crystal panel includes a data converting table(1) to generate output gray-scale data obtained by thinning out input gray-scale data to reduce a number of bits of input gray-scale data, a frame memory(3) to generate second input gray-scale data by delaying output gray-scale data in the data converting table by one frame image display period in a liquid crystal panel and a look-up table(4) to generate an overshooting gray-scale output being in advance stored according to a relation in size between the first input gray-scale data and the second input gray-scale data. Herein, image display is performed by an overshooting gray-scale output in a liquid crystal panel.
