PURPOSE: A system for preventing illegal reproduction/installation for a CD and a DVD is provided to prevent illegal reproduction through interaction of an illegal reproduction-preventing program and an illegal reproduction-preventing apparatus. CONSTITUTION: If a CD or DVD with an illegal reproduction-preventing program(5) including an intrinsic key value is driven, a laser beam(1) reads a program, game, music, and moving picture programs(3) on a polycarbonates substrate(2). The illegal reproduction-preventing program and the illegal reproduction-preventing apparatus interact and read the information about the CD and DVD installed within the illegal reproduction-preventing apparatus. Illegal reproduction onto the illegal reproduction-preventing apparatus is impossible in the case of game, music, or moving picture CDs and DVD. If a computer gives installation order, the illegal reproduction-preventing program is installed together with the program in the case of a program CD. The intrinsic key value of an original CD is not installed by simple reproduction. Thus, installation in many other computers is impossible with the exception of the first computer.
