PURPOSE: A mounting structure of a room lamp for a vehicle is provided to improve convenience, reduce the number of parts, cut down the cost, and reduce the weight by irradiating a room lamp in a desired direction through simple operation and not installing a room lamp for a front seat in addition. CONSTITUTION: A mounting structure of a room lamp for a vehicle comprises a rotating member(22) installed on the inner mounting unit of a roof panel(11); a lamp housing(14) installed under a lamp guider(24); the lamp guider fixed on the inner mounting unit of a head lining(12); a sliding unit(26) coupled to the rotating member; and an elastic member(28) pressed when the lamp housing is pulled downward. The lamp guider has a surface joined with the lamp housing and has plural guide holes and mounting holes(25b) formed at the end of the guide holes. The sliding unit passes through the lamp guider and head lining, with integrally assembled with the upper surface of the lamp housing. The lamp housing is moved on the lamp guider the moment the sliding unit is guided in the guide holes while the rotating member rotates.
