PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide digital radio equipment adopting the time division multiplex system that avoids distortion caused in a reception system circuit section at reception of a high level input signal and mismatching caused in the reception system circuit section. SOLUTION: The digital radio equipment is provided with a transmission/ reception changeover switch 13 that switches a connection destination of a transmission reception signal to a transmission system circuit or a reception system circuit, a termination circuit changeover switch 18 that connects an input to the reception system circuit to a terminator, a level detection circuit 16 that detects a reception signal level, and a control circuit 17 that controls the switch 13 to select the transmission circuit side and controls the switch 18 to connect the input of the reception system circuit to the terminator when the reception signal level detected by the detection means is a default level or over causing distortion to the reception system circuit section.
