PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device capable of realizing white balance adjustment in a state that the influence of any noise is suppressed. SOLUTION: A first mean value level is calculated from the maximum value and minimum value in the first set level area of a digital video signal obtained by A/D converting an analog video signal for adjusting a white balance, a second mean value level is calculated from the maximum value and minimum value in the second set level area, the clamp level of the analog video signal is adjusted based on the first mean value level, and the amplification gain of the analog video signal is adjusted based on the second mean value level.
