PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a funnel for a cathode-ray tube that has a body part, suitable in shape to press molding and advantageous in strength. SOLUTION: The funnel for a cathode-ray tube includes the body part, when the relation of 0<α(z)<d or the relation of d<α(z)<90 holds, whereα(z) deg. is the angle formed to a longitudinal axis LA about an axis C by the largest contour part D(z) of an outer surface and/or an inner surface of the body part, in an arbitrary cross section P(z) parallel to an opening end, and d deg. is an angle formed by a diagonal axis DA to the longitudinal axis LA.
